Year Zero is an independent platform for emerging global subcultures consisted of a magazine and an online radio station.
Year Zero was founded in Istanbul in 2018. Inspired by youth living in a place destabilized by change, the magazine was created to capture the tensions between generations, between tradition and what could come next.
Today that change is everywhere. A new landscape of instability has emerged, one that we share globally thanks to recent events set in motion by the pandemic. For the first time in recent memory we seem to be going through this process together, universally impacted by forces that cause us to start over, to return to zero.
